1:1 Academic Support

We offer many different programs and services that are designed to meet each individual student's needs. Your student will recieve a customized development plan that will benefit their grades and their self confidence.

Complete Monthly Package

    • The Director will act as an advocate for the student with his/her school support personnel via email and in person.
      • This may include IEP/504 planning meetings, parent-teacher conferences, or private meetings as requested.
    • Guidance about academic concerns/questions will be provided via email or phone to both parent and student.
    • A parent may request an in-person conference to discuss progress or changes to the student's program.
    • We are lucky to be conveniently located in downtown New Milford along bus routes from all NMPS. We will be glad to meet your elementary or intermediate school child at his/her bus stop on the Green in New Milford (Bank St, Railroad Street, Main Street) up to a half hour prior to the start of their session.
    • The student is entitled to up to 16 in-person, 1:1 Academic Support hours.
      • Sessions will address any individualized academic skill building program, homework help, subject tutoring, studying, note-taking, or organizational skills as needed and as defined by the student's Individualized Program Guidelines.
    • Following each session, the parents are entitled to receive immediate feedback from the Academic Instructor(s) who worked with the student that day.
      • We find these very important to the success of our students' programs as they allow for ongoing updates and ensure that both the parents and the RLC team members are communicating regularly.
    • This group session will give RLC students the opportunity to purge and organize their school work.
    • Designed as a support to the student's independent organizational habits as well as those they should be practicing based on their Academic Programs.
    • Held once monthly on the third Thursday of the month from 5-6pm.
    • Parents who purchase this package for their student will receive a reduced price for any additional in-person 1:1 Academic Support hours they'd like to add on for that month.

Standard Monthly Package

    • The student is entitled to up to 8 in-person, 1:1 Academic Support hours.
      • Sessions will address any individualized academic skill building program, homework help, subject tutoring, studying, note-taking, or organizational skills as needed and as defined by the student's Individualized Program Guidelines.

    • We are lucky to be conveniently located in downtown New Milford along bus routes from all NMPS. We will be glad to meet your elementary or intermediate school child at his/her bus stop on the Green in New Milford (Bank St, Railroad Street, Main Street) up to a half hour prior to the start of their session.
    • The student is entitled to up to 8 in-person, 1:1 Academic Support hours over the course of two consecutive months.
      • Sessions will address any homework help, subject tutoring, studying, note-taking, or organizational skills as needed and as defined by the student's Individualized Program Guidelines.
      • Academic Skill Building program students are not eligible for this package option.
    • Following each session, the parents are entitled to receive immediate feedback from the Academic Instructor(s) who worked with thestudent that day.
      • We find these very important to the success of our students' programs as they allow for ongoing updates and ensure that both the parents and the RLCteam members are communicating.
    • Parents who purchase this package for their student will receive a reduced price for any additional in-person 1:1 Academic Support hours they'd like to add on for that two-month span.
