Join us for a DIY party with Mommys Board Silly. You'll get to choose your complete design - from its size, saying, graphics, and colors!

Please make your design choice and complete your registration by June 1st.

Spanish for Elementary Students

Join us for this introductory Spanish class for Elementary students. Research shows that the best and easiest time to teach a new language is during childhood - the earlier the better. These classes (offered in 5 sections) aim to do that for your child. They will learn more than just letters, numbers, and colors - they'll also learn how to communicate feelings, preferences, and more. This multi-sensory, interactive approach to learning will incorporate the natural environment into the students' learning as well as some tabletop time.

Small group setting (up to 10 students per section). Choose the dates that are right for you.

French for Elementary Students

Join us for this introductory course for elementary students. Participants will learn French basics such as the alphabet, colors, numbers, days of the week, animals, greetings, and more as they practice pronunciation and conversation. We will use the surrounding environment to introduce new language and well as target vocabulary through direct instruction.

Limited to 10 students. Will take place both inside the classroom and outside when weather permits.

STEM Tuesdays

One of many summer camps and workshops that'll be offered this year at RLC: Tuesdays this July will be STEM days! Each week we will feature a different STEM topic. Also, check out our Makerspace for Early Engineers on Tuesdays in August.

Wonder Half-day Summer Camp

Welcome to the WONDERful world of Auggie Pllman, a young boy born with facial differences and a heart of gold. Students will explore emotional intelligence and awareness as well as compassion as we explore the different challenges in Auggie's world.

We will utilize both the book and film in this half-day summer enrichment camp. Students will discuss, write, role play, and plan how they can make a positive change in their own world.

Ages 9-12; limit of 10 participants. Portions will take place in the classroom and outside when weather permits.

Fantastic Beasts Full-day Summer Camp

The magical world of Harry Potter returns to RLC this July!

Join Newt Scamander on a magizoological journey as we study fantastic beasts, construct models of them, and discover some new ones of our own!

We will explore the illustrated book and its literary components as well as the film. We will study the beasts in Harry Potter's universe as well as "discover" and construct some of our own - including where they live, what they look like, sound like, and more. We'll be making our own life-sized beast as well as models of others among other craft and art projects both in the class and outside (weather permitting).

A Wrinkle in Time Half-day Summer Camp

In this half-day summer camp, students will explore the literature, science, art, math, and film of A Wrinkle in Time. We will create our own narratives and scenes, act out and role-play existing scenes and ones we construct, and experiment with the science in the story.

Best for ages 8-12; limit of 10 students. Activities will take place both within the classroom and outdoors as weather permits.

Poetry and Fairy Tale Camp

Through a study of figurative language, rhyme scheme, and rhythm, participants will learn how these foundations enhance poetry and fairy tale writing. We will explore our natural environment as well as our classroom space to write, imagine, role play, build, visualize, draw, and read (of course) examples of these works.

Our Poetry Mini-Camp will also create a painting to go along with their original poems that we'll work on throughout the week. We'll study several different types of poetry and work on writing our own as well. We'll incorporate all of our senses and the world around us as we head outside for inspiration.
Register for Poetry

In our Fairy Tale Mini-Camp, participants will examine themes as they relate to our current world and re-imagine fairy tales as they might happen today. We'll brainstorm, write, and act out these "fractured fairy tales". We'll also build fairy houses from found items and recycled materials during the week.
